Seedling is a series of coil-built forms by Zachary Weber representing the first signs of life—growth breaking through its container. Each ceramic silhouette is cut into various forms, displaced and reintegrated into itself, a process that involves play, experimentation and the embrace of uncertainty by Weber. With its majestic form, peering cutouts and bold lustrous colors, this glazed ceramic sculpture engages the viewer to scale its intricate grooves and shape, and explore what’s within.
