Details

Made by hand by highly skilled craftspeople in the USA.
The steel base corners are made in a mold and joined to the long struts supporting the base.
Each pad on top is individually upholstered and saddle stitched by hand.
Once the pads are all made, they are lined up evenly on the steel base.
Daybed pads are constructed with layers of multi-density foam for consistent comfort. Firmer on the edges to retain shape and softer in the middle for comfort.
Glides are included.

CASTE

CASTE is furniture, lighting and objects designed by Ty Best. Based in Montana with a small collaborative team of exceptional woodworkers and finishers, Ty is inspired by natural forms, sculpture, brutalist architecture and the workmanship of traditional crafts.

CASTE honors a hand-built approach, dedicated to the intimate labor of drawing by hand and handcrafted design. The isolation and quietness of Montana are integral to Ty’s creative process, which is just as important as the outcome. This quality of care can be felt and recognized in all that is CASTE.
